Producer and DJ Kygo releases the new single "Freeze".
Starting with a unique piano melody, this eight-minute production evolves into a sweeping and cinematic work centered on a soulful interpretation that erupts in a synthesizer explosion.
"Freeze", released by RCA Records / Sony Music, is accompanied by an amazing music video that takes your breath away, directed by Rafatoon (Deftones, Becky G, Katy Perry).
As an emotional journey through space and time, the music video for "Freeze" focuses on the relationship of a young couple through his memories. As it switches between the past and the present while the couple experiences both joy and adversity, the music video reminds us to stop and live every precious fleeting moment.
"Freeze is a very special song for me," says Kygo.
"I always try to experiment with new sounds and styles and I feel that this song is different from anything I have released so far. "I'm excited that my fans will hear it and I hope they like it as much as I do," he continued.
Earlier this year, Kygo collaborated with Joe Jonas's dance-rock band DNCE and released the dynamic funk single "Dancing Feet".
This summer, along with his ongoing appearances at the XS Nightclub in Las Vegas, Kygo will lead festivals such as BottleRock in the Napa Valley, Osheaga in Montreal and Lollapalooza in Chicago.
Through the lifestyle brand of Palm Tree Crew, Kygo will also return to The Hamptons for the second Palm Tree Festival on June 25, which will also feature Disclosure, Claptone, Thomas Jack, Forester and Haywood. Later this year, on July 2, Kygo will appear at Ullevaal Stadium, Norway's largest open-air stadium, with tickets sold out 10 minutes after their release.
