Ellie Goulding - Like A Saviour

Another song from Ellie Goulding's new album.

Ellie Goulding releases new single 'Like A Saviour' from her upcoming fifth album 'Higher Than Heaven'.

'Like A Saviour' is another powerful pop smash from Ellie Goulding, with a throbbing bass juxtaposed against '80s-tinged synths.

In the music video for the song, directed by Joe Connor and choreographed by Daniel Alwell, Ellie Goulding and a troupe of dancers are stranded in a desert – a landscape they must battle as the song builds to its epic finale crescendo .

Ellie Goulding took to social media last month to announce 'Like A Saviour' and the new release date for her upcoming album 'Higher Than Heaven', which is finally set to be revealed on March 24th.

“Some exciting opportunities have arisen behind the scenes, which I look forward to sharing with you in due course. In the meantime as a thank you for your patience," he explained.

Ellie Goulding has recruited some of the best producers in pop music to create her new album, such as Greg Kurstin (Sia, Maggie Rogers, Elton John), Jessie Shatkin (Charli XCX, Years & Years), Koz (Sam Ryder , Madonna, Dua Lipa) and Andrew Wells (Halsey, Yungblud).

With the end result Ellie Goulding will put her own touch on modern pop music.

"Higher Than Heaven" is full of irresistible hits featuring Ellie's distinctive voice, while the production features pop music at its best, with storming bass lines, explosive synths and euphoric melodies.

“There's definitely been a palpable darkness (in the last couple of years) in the studio, with everyone going through it differently. I think because of that, nobody wanted to sit around and angst about a relationship or drama," Ellie Goulding said of the vibe of her new album.

“So that's how this album came about. It refers to passionate love. But it's an exaggerated form of love, almost like a drug-induced feeling. It almost feels artificial and there's the potential for you to collapse," he continued.

Ellie Goulding's new album 'Higher Than Heaven' will contain 11 songs in its standard version, including 'Like A Saviour', 'Let It Die' and 'Easy Lover' featuring Big Sean and more 5 five songs on the deluxe edition, including the collaboration with Alok and Sigala on 'All By Myself'.
