The Canadian artist recorded a new one in his Spotify chronicles with 85.66 million listeners on a monthly basis. The previous best performance belonged to Justin Bieber, who numbered almost 84 million listeners on a monthly basis.
Ed Sheeran is currently the third most popular artist on Spotify with 79.7 million monthly listeners.
All the success of The Weeknd is due to the release of his new album, "Dawn FM", which has a great track record.
