Shakira explained the bet she made with the recent single "Don't Wait Up", a song with electronic elements and talked about the new confidence she has gained after decades of active action in music.

"I wanted, for a long time, to make a song like this electronic with a different sound, but also with a certain nostalgia from the '90s. "I feel very inspired, with a lot of ideas and a great desire to do new things, to experiment a little bit," the Colombian artist said in an interview with the Brazilian show "Fantástico".

Although she has 30 years of career, Shakira says that she is still very anxious with the releases: "For me, the approval of my audience is very important," said the star.

Regarding the importance of "Don't Wait Up", he explained that "it is a message for life, for fullness, for escaping from everything that does not leave you happy" and assured that the song is not implied for anyone .

Shakira also described how she manages the pressure on her body as a public figure.

He also revealed that he acquired new hobbies during the pandemic. He has learned to skateboard and learn to surf, in addition to rollerblading.
