A film about the life of Robbie Williams

The film will explore the experiences of Robbie Williams and the demons he fought both on and off stage.
A biographical film about Robbie Williams is in the works, directed by "The Greatest Showman" director Michael Gracey.

In an interview with "Deadline", the Australian director said that the production of the film will begin in the summer.

Michael Gracey co-wrote the screenplay with Oliver Cole and Simon Gleeson, who are making their debut as screenwriters.

The film tells the story of one of the UK's most successful pop stars, who rose to fame as a member of Take That and then pursued a successful and at times difficult solo career.

Two Take That albums and two of his solo careers are among the 60 best-selling albums in UK history, more than any other artist, and while not as successful in the US, they are hugely popular throughout Europe. .

Robbie Williams' music will be included in the film and will be re-recorded to suit the atmosphere.
Michael Gracey spoke of the "superhero story" of an everyday man who followed his dreams, which led him to an incredible point. "He is not the best singer or dancer and yet he has sold 80 million records worldwide," he said.

As for the way Robbie Williams is presented in the film, the director said it is confidential.

"I want to do it in a really original way. I remember going to the movies as a child and there were movies that shocked me and made me say, as I sat there in the movies, "I've never seen anything like this." "I just want the public to have that feeling," he explained.

"It's so important when they see this story and look at the screen, to think that they have never seen anything like it. "All I can say is that the approach is secret, but the goal is to create this feeling that I just described," he said, according to the APE-MPE.

Eleven of Robbie Williams' twelve solo albums have reached No. 1 in the United Kingdom, most recently "The Christmas Present" in November 2019. It has won the most BRIT Awards in history, a total of 18, twice as many as Adele and Coldplay which is in second place with nine each.

Robbie Williams, who has four children with his wife - actress Ayda Field, has suffered from depression and substance abuse during his career.
