Halsey - So Good

Halsey presents the romantic music video for her new song "So Good" directed by her partner, Alev Aydin.

Halsey and Alev Aydin impersonate themselves in the video, while actors Charlie Oldman and Sora Connor and model Tatiana de Campos Ringsby frame them as the singer directs a video for the music video for "So Good".

As she watches a director impersonating Aydin and a blue-haired model impersonating herself, Halsey sees herself singing the nostalgic lyrics of the song for a love that is about to go away.

"Alev and I first met because he was supposed to write and direct a film about my life. "We started a family and now he wrote and directed this little film about our lives," Halsey said on social media.

Halsey and Alev Aydin worked with Samsung to highlight the role technology plays in our daily lives, but also how it can inspire creativity and encourage storytelling at every level.

To help the couple share their memories throughout the video, Samsung has provided them with the new Freestyle, a portable device that projects images and videos and adapts to almost any surface.

"The movie we made for 'So Good' really tells the whole story of the song the way I wanted it to," Halsey explains.

"Samsung has helped us share our vision by giving us the creative freedom we need to build something we are truly proud of. "Using Freestyle, Alev and I were able to share a picture of how we fell in love: watching romantic movies together."

"But this time, Freestyle is playing real movies from our common life. "For us, this makes 'So Good' come to life in a really special way, which we are excited to share with our fans."

"So Good" is a departure from the industrial rock direction that Halsey followed on her last album, the Grammy nominee "If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power", produced by Trent Reznor of Nine Atticus Ross Inch Nails.

Halsey co-wrote "So Good" with Sammy Witte and Sarah Aarons, while the song was produced by Tobias Karlsson and Max Martin.

Last week, as Halsey celebrated five years since the release of "Hopeless Fountain Kingdom" (2017), it was announced that the album is now twice platinum in the US. Halsey's third album, "Manic" (2020), is also double platinum. Both albums debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Current Album Sales Chart, as did "If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power" in 2021.
