Charli XCX reveals the music video for the party anthem "Used To Know Me" from her album "Crash".
"Used To Know Me" is the story of the renaissance you experience after a divorce and uses samples from Robin S.'s house hit "Show Me Love" from 1990.
The music video for "Used To Know Me" comes to extend even further the impressive visuals presented by Charli XCX with coherence and consistency in the context of her new album "Crash", under the creative direction of Imogene Strauss and his choreography Nathan Kim.
Directed by Alex Gill, the video for "Used To Know Me" follows Charli XCX and two dancers in a series of different scenes where they appear as high school cheerleaders, 80s gymnasts and blasphemous sexy nuns.
The music video concludes with Charli XCX appearing as Marie Antoinette and while her outfit disappears when she returns to her room, there is still a piece of cake waiting to be eaten.
"Used To Know Me" is produced by Dopamine, a team of DJs and musicians led by DJ Ethan Porte and UK-based songwriter Samantha Harper. They are best known for their work on the songs "Friday" and "Weekend" by Mufasa & Hypeman.
"Crash", Charli XCX's fifth album, was released by Atlantic Records / Warner Music in March and gave the pop singer her first No. 1 in the UK and her first Top 10 appearance in the US, rising to No. 7 of the charts.
