Wham!: Collector's box set with all the band's singles


The ultimate collection for fans of Wham!

To celebrate 40 years since the creation of one of the most beloved British duos in music history, the one and only Wham!, Sony Music will release on July 7th the ultimate compilation 'WHAM! The Singles: Echoes From The Edge Of Heaven'.

This collection will be released in various editions, including a unique limited edition 7-inch vinyl box set of all Wham singles! from 1982 and 'Young Guns (Go For It)' to 1986 and 'The Edge Of Heaven'.

During their career, Wham! some of the most powerful and uplifting hits of all time, such as 'WHAM! RAP! (Enjoy What You Do)', 'Bad Boys', 'Club Tropicana', 'Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go', 'Freedom', 'Last Christmas', 'Everything She Wants' and 'I'm Your Man ».

George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley created Wham! in 1981.

The best friends who met at school became one of the biggest acts of the 80s, selling over 30 million records worldwide. Since then their impact has grown generations and generations and has influenced many artists in their music.

George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley released 11 singles as Wham! with five of them ("Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go", "Freedom", "Last Christmas", "I'm Your Man" and "The Edge Of Heaven") reaching the top of the UK chart.

Meanwhile, in the US, 'Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go', 'Careless Whisper' and 'Everything She Wants' also managed to become No.1 hits, and it's worth noting that all three singles are included in the same album, 'Make It Big', which has sold over 6 million copies in the US alone.

In the rest of the world, Wham! they topped the charts in countries such as Australia, Canada, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Ireland, North Africa and Switzerland among others.

In 1985, Wham! they became the first Western band to perform in China, where both of their performances broke countless cultural stereotypes.

Wham! they toured all over the world. On their 'The Big Tour', which took place in 1984 and 1985, they played 39 concerts in promotion of their multi-platinum No. 1 album, 'Make It Big'. The tour made stops in the UK, Ireland, Japan, Australia, America, Hong Kong and China.

In the summer of 1985, their 'WHAMAMAMERICA!' she was watched by hundreds of thousands of fans in US stadiums.

On June 28, 1986, during the historic tour 'WHAM! The Final', the hit duo performed at London's Wembley Stadium in front of 72,000 fans. Their friends Elton John and Simon Le Bon also took part in the concert.

But the best thing was that the friendship between George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley was very strong from the beginning to the end of their journey.

The collection 'WHAM! The Singles: Echoes From The Edge Of Heaven' will be released in a box set on 7-inch vinyl. This curated collection includes all Wham! singles, plus extra material.

The collection will also be available in a 10-CD box set, as well as color double vinyl, black double vinyl, CD and digital editions.

Alongside the collection, Netflix will release on July 5 a new documentary about Wham! The documentary, simply titled "WHAM!", captures the duo's magical time through the lens of director Chris Smith ("Tiger King," "Sr.") and producers John Battsek ("The Deepest Breath") and Simon Halfon ("Supersonic").

With access to George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley's personal archive of unique unreleased footage, as well as rare and never-before-seen interviews, the documentary brings to light historic moments of a remarkable journey between two friends who became absolute superstars.
