Selena Gomez confesses that she is thinking of giving up music.
The pop star was photographed for the cover of the April issue of "Vogue" and in an interview with the magazine she spoke about the difficulties she faces in creating music.
"It's hard to keep making music when people don't necessarily take you seriously. There were times when I said, “What is the meaning? "Why do I keep doing this?" He admitted.
The 28-year-old American has been singing professionally for more than a decade, having started her career in music singing Disney soundtracks in 2008, but despite the success she has achieved so far, she feels that there is still much to prove.
"For 'Lose You To Love Me' I felt it was the best song I've ever released, but for some people it wasn't enough," said Selena Gomez.
"I think there are a lot of people who enjoy my music, and I'm so grateful for that, I keep going, but I think the next time I make an album it's going to be different. "I want to make one last effort before I can leave music," he continued.
"I have to be careful," she said, adding that she wanted to "give herself a real chance at acting."
Selena Gomez has turned her attention to the production of television and film programs, wanting to excel both in front and behind the cameras.
In addition to the Spanish-language EP "Revelación" released on March 12, the pop star presents her own cooking show on HBO Max, entitled "Selena + Chef" and will star in Hulu's "Only Murders In The Building" comedy series will premiere this year, as well as the upcoming films "In The Shadow Of The Mountain" (2022) and "Dollhouse" (TBA).
Although she has been in Hollywood for almost two decades, Selena Gomez believes this is just the beginning.
"I have not even touched the surface of what I want to do. The pieces I want are the ones I need help with. "I look forward to the moment when a director will be able to see that I am capable of doing something that no one has ever seen before," she told Vogue about her vision and the future of her career.
