Rita Ora releases single 'Prasing You' and announces new album

Rita Ora collaborates with Fatboy Slim on her new song.

Rita Ora releases new single 'Prasing You' and announces her third album, 'You and I', will be released by BMG on July 14th.

In collaboration with producer Oak Felder (Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Alicia Keys, Usher), Rita Ora created an album that captures different chapters of her relationship with director husband Taika Waititi and describes the feeling of mad love.

Rita Ora, who co-wrote all the songs on 'You and I', said: 'This album really means a lot to me. It's like a diary of my last years, it's my sound and I just feel like it's so representative of me and who I am today."

Alongside the announcement of the album 'You and I', Rita Ora releases her new single 'Praising You' in collaboration with British DJ and producer Fatboy Slim.

This is a cover of Fatboy Slim's classic hit 'Praise You' released in the 90's. 'Praise You' was based on a sample from Camille Yarbrough's 'Take Yo' Praise' and this year marks the 25th anniversary of its release.

Rita Ora poured her heart and soul into this emotional pop song about "feeling vulnerable at the beginning of a love affair."

"It's truly a surreal experience to not only get Norman's endorsement, but to be working with him and paying homage to such an important song from my childhood," commented Rita Ora.

"I think that song means something different to everybody, but from my perspective, it's celebrating your loved ones and really celebrating those relationships," he continued.

"It's an incredible honor for me that we were able to breathe new life into the song and re-introduce it to a whole new generation," he said.

Rita Ora and Fatboy Slim met by chance in the fields of the Glastonbury music festival.

"From a chance meeting late one night at the Naughty Corner in Glastonbury, a friendship and partnership developed that on paper might seem unlikely. And yet here she is, and she has a life of her own!” said Fatboy Slim, whose real name is Norman Cook.

The music video for 'Praising You' was directed by Oscar winner Taika Waititi and will be released on April 28th.

Rita Ora will perform 'Praising You' live for the first time in the first semi-final of this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool on May 9. She will also perform an impressive medley of some of her greatest hits.

'Praising You' follows Rita Ora's single 'You Only Love Me' which preceded it earlier this year and was her first release under BMG. "You Only Love Me" has garnered over 40 million streams to date.

Both songs will be featured on Rita Ora's new album 'You and I'.
