Paul McCartney welcomed Bruce Springsteen and Jon Boni Jovi on stage

Paul McCartney welcomed Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi on stage during a concert at the Met Life Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on the night of Thursday, June 16.

For most of the night, Paul McCartney material from throughout his historic career. The program included classic Beatles songs ("Can't Buy Me Love", "Love Me Do", "Blackbird", "Get Back"), Wings tracks ("Jet", "Live and Let Die") and solo songs ("Maybe I'm Amazed", "New").

After Wings's "Band On The Run", the 27th song of the night, Paul McCartney welcomed Springsteen on stage.

"I have a special surprise for you," the Beatles legend told the audience, who had sold out the concert at MetLife Stadium.

"There is a friend of mine. "He is a local," he continued, with the crowd shouting "Bruce." "I think you guessed it," he said, laughing, adding: "I told him, 'You must come and sing with us.' Ladies and gentlemen, Bruce Springsteen! "

Bruce Springsteen took the stage immediately afterwards and received a warm applause from the audience in his hometown.

The two artists performed two songs together, "Glory Days" and "I Wanna Be Your Man", while Bruce Springsteen returned later for the final song of the night, playing guitar in the Beatles' "The End".

Bruce Springsteen was not the only New Jersey-based artist to appear at the concert.

During Paul McCartney's encore, Jon Bon Jovi took to the stage with a large bouquet of balloons. "I have 60,000 people who want to sing happy birthday to you," he said, referring to McCartney's 80th birthday on June 18.

The Bon Jovi frontman then sang "Happy Birthday" with the audience before embracing McCartney.

With the concert in New Jersey, Paul McCartney completed the North American part of his "Got Back" tour. He will then appear at the Glastonbury Festival in the United Kingdom on June 24.
