Miley Cyrus made a rare reference to her partner Maxx Morando and revealed how they met.
The 30-year-old singer explained in an interview with British Vogue that she met the 24-year-old drummer of Los Angeles rock band Liily after a "blind date" arranged by mutual acquaintances.
"Well, it was blind for me and not really for him," Miley Cyrus clarified.
As for how she was dealing with dating at the time, the singer said, "I thought the worst that could happen is that I leave."
The reporter for British Vogue noted that Maxx Morando called Miley Cyrus during the interview, with her cell phone playing the song "Tyrone" by Erykah Badu.
"I call this my 'sexy boyfriend ringtone,'" Miley Cyrus said with a smile.
Rumors that Miley Cyrus and Maxx Morando were dating sparked in April 2022, when the pair were spotted kissing while standing on a sidewalk according to photos obtained at the time by E! News.
In November 2021, Miley Cyrus and Maxx Morando had attended
Gucci's 'Love Parade' fashion show.
A source told E! News in October 2022 that the couple's relationship is "very serious."
“Miley and Maxx are still getting along very well and their relationship is very serious. They've been together for about a year now and Miley is really happy," the source said.
"They're both artistic and creative people, so they bond over being musicians," he added.
Maxx Morando seems to have also managed to win over the family of Miley Cyrus, who has turned over a new leaf and established a solid relationship following her divorce from ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.
