The 52-year-old singer released a new Christmas song called "Fall In Love At Christmas" last month and said the song's mission is to help "share love" with people around the world during the holiday season.
I love "Fall In Love At Christmas" because I like that it is a departure from the ordinary. It's a love song and then it's a spiritual song. I say, "We pray at Christmas time," because love is something we should give. Let us give love. The song really tries to say that we are in a really bad situation in the world. "We all need grace for grace's sake," he told People magazine.
Mariah Carey, who is also behind the acclaimed Christmas hit "All I Want For Christmas Is You", admitted that she is "extremely happy" with the way the song has been received and explained that part of its charm comes from fact that the lyrics reflect the spirit of Christmas in her real life.
"I have my own favorite lyrics from this song. I remember exactly the first night I started playing with this idea. There is a verse in the body of the song that says: "And the candles are shining / I'm awake, but no one knows / I're just waiting patiently to hear the sleigh bells ring / To 'ta'", he described.
"For me, this is an essential moment that I live every year. "I really like these moments where you can give a taste of yourself to your fans", he added.
Mariah Carey got her Christmas love from her mother and has passed on the same love to her two twin children, Moroccan and Monroe.
The singer also said that her children talk about their passion for Christmas in their mother's new festive tribute entitled "Mariah's Christmas: The Magic Continues", which premiered on Apple TV + on December 3.
"These guys are honest and I was very happy to see them again. Why honestly, when you're wearing a 27-pound dress, you can't look back to say, "Okay, what the fuck is Rocky doing right now?" "What is Monroe doing?" He said.
"So it was very sweet because they say they love it. "They think they love it more than I do, but we came to the conclusion that we all love it just as much," added Mariah Carey.
