Madonna talks about her retirement from music.

"I don't even think about my age, I just keep going."
Ambition is part of the game for Madonna.

The iconic pop star is featured on the cover of the new issue of "V Magazine" and gives the magazine a full-length interview, which stands, among other things, in her love for Kanye West's latest album and her thoughts on the so-called culture of cancellation.

"The only thing I heard recently that inspired me was Kanye's 'Donda,'" Madonna said of Kanye West's latest album, which was named after the rapper's late mother.

"There are very few artists working towards failure. And I feel that he does. "I can not say that I agree with his views on politics and women, or on unmarried people who have sex or on the gay community."

"But his work is on the razor's edge and is a source of inspiration and rare. Everyone waited so long for his album to be released and when it was finally released, everyone else's album was released. "And he was still standing out."
Regarding the culture of cancellation, Madonna insists on the position she has held since the beginning of her career to speak loudly and with pride.

"The point is, the calmer you are, the more frightened you become, the more dangerous anything is. We give it strength by completely blocking it ", he emphasizes.

"Ever since I put my finger on the lighter in the car, I kept pushing it and playing with it. Every child does it and your parents say "do not touch it, you will burn your finger". "All you have to do is tell me that and I will have to touch it," he explains.

At 63, some may be wondering how Madonna is still doing so well, but she says she doesn't think about her age at all.

"I do not even think about my age, to tell you the truth. I just keep going. Even when I did almost the whole tour with pain, I had no cartilage left in my right hip and everyone was saying "you have to stop, you have to stop", while I said: "I will not stop. "I will continue until it dissolves", he describes.

"And it was COVID that interrupted our appearances in Paris, while we had 10 more concerts left and I would continue to work. I did not care how much I was in pain. "I never think about time constraints and when I should stop."

"I only think about it when extremely ignorant people say to me, 'Don't you think you have won the right to sit back and enjoy all your success and all that you have achieved and retire?' Not to retire, no one would dare say that word to me. I tell them: “Wait a minute. "Why do you think I do what I do?" Why do you do what you do? "Do you have a date to stop?" He says.

"I think I will stop when I have absolutely no idea, when I no longer feel inspired," says Madonna.
