Madonna is "very proud" of her daughter Lourdes Leon's debut album

The queen of pop makes room for her princess to shine. Madonna shared her joy that her 25-year-old daughter Lourdes Leon is following in her footsteps.

Lourdes Leon released her first single, "Lock& Key," on Wednesday, August 24, using the moniker Lolahol.

Madonna posted the psychedelic cover of Lourdes' upbeat dance track in a recent post to her Instagram stories, tagged her account and added a red heart emoji.

"I'm so proud of you Lola!" the 64-year-old singer also wrote.

Madonna shared links to Lourdes' song, encouraging followers to listen to it on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, YouTube and other platforms.

Lourdes Leon was born in 1996 and is the daughter of Madonna and dancer and gymnast Carlos Leon.

Apart from singing, she is also involved in modeling and dancing, having taken cues from both her parents. In 2018 she completed her dance studies at the University of Michigan.

In August 2021, Lourde Leon appeared alongside Bella Hadid, Kaia Gerber and other models on the cover of 'Vogue' and revealed in her interview with the magazine that she paid for her college tuition all by herself.

"People think I'm this untalented rich kid who's been given everything, but I'm not," he assured.

The following month, she spoke to Interview about her life growing up with Madonna and revealed her mother's entertainment industry advice.

"He told me: 'Proceed with caution and think about what you want to be known for,'" she revealed.

“My mom is very insistent on making me think about what I want to be known for other than my looks. I don't want to be remembered for that. It's not real," he added.
