Madonna promises to return "as soon as possible".
Madonna has issued her first official statement since being hospitalized in intensive care two weeks ago with a "serious bacterial infection".
In an Instagram post, Madonna thanked her fans for all their positive energy and prayers as she tries to overcome her health issue, assuring her followers that she is feeling much better and is on the "road to recovery ».
“I have felt your love. I'm on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life," wrote the 64-year-old singer, who spent several days in the ICU in late June and was forced to postpone her world tour, "The Celebration Tour."
Although Madonna did not go into detail about her health problem, she noted that the first thing she thought about when she woke up in the hospital was her six children.
"My second thought was that I didn't want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour," he continued.
“I also didn't want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I don't like to let anyone down," he said.
For now, though, she said, her focus is on her health and trying to get stronger.
In her post, Madonna confirmed that her 'The Celebration Tour', which was set to kick off in North America this month, will be moved to new dates.
Madonna's 40th anniversary tour, which was nearly sold-out, included more than 80 concerts around the world.
“And I assure you I will be back with you as soon as possible!” he promised.
"The plan right now is to reschedule the North American leg of the tour and start in Europe in October," he explained.
Madonna also posted a photo of herself looking into the camera wearing a black long-sleeved top and minimal make-up.
One of the singer's longtime friends, Donatella Versace, commented on the post.
“We're with you all the way, Madonna. We are thinking of you and sending you love, strength and hugs for a speedy recovery. People can't wait to see you on stage again!!! I love you so much," wrote the fashion designer.
