Lady Gaga recently shared that she’s "not done" portraying Harley Quinn, feeling that the character "has so much to say." She also opened up about the nervousness she and Joaquin Phoenix experienced on set.
Reflecting on her personal growth and work-life balance, Gaga said, "I used to feel like I would make my art at any cost, but now I’ve found that I create better work when I feel truly stable and happy at home." She added that the time she spent with her partner, Michael, during filming played a significant role in this balance: "Every day after filming *Joker*, I made dinner, and having dinner together with Michael made the whole experience complete."
Gaga also touched on the challenges of being a woman in the spotlight, saying, "I’ve felt healed by the darkness of what it means to be a woman—sometimes it feels like if something good happens to you, it must have been a mistake because how could you achieve something good if you feel broken? But it is possible."
Recalling her initial nerves on the set of *Joker: Folie à Deux*, she revealed, "On the first day, both Joaquin and I were nervous—him more for the music, and me much more for the acting. But as we worked together, we found our rhythm, and about two weeks in, we really started to uncover the truth of the characters."
As for her portrayal of Harley Quinn, Gaga isn’t ready to say goodbye just yet. "I definitely don’t feel done with Lee as a character. She’s such an interesting gal and still has so much to express."
