Lady Gaga confirms the recent reports that she has recorded a new song for the upcoming movie "Top Gun: Maverick" starring Tom Cruise.

The pop star announced in a post on her social media accounts that the song she has prepared for the long-awaited sequel to the iconic 1986 "Top Gun" movie is titled "Hold My Hand" and informed the public that she is going to released on May 3.

"When I wrote this song for 'Top Gun: Maverick,' I did not even realize the multiple levels it covered across the heart of the film, my own psychosynthesis and the nature of the world we live in," Lady Gaga wrote in her message.

"I worked on it for years, I perfected it, I tried to make it ours. I wanted to turn music into a song where we share our deep need to be understood as well as to try to understand each other, in an ardent desire to be close when we feel so far away and in an ability to celebrate the heroes of life ", He added.

Continuing, Lady Gaga thanked Tom Cruise, who returns to the legendary role of Captain Pete "Maverick" Mitchell, film director Joseph Kosinski and renowned film composer Hans Zimmer.
