Kanye West's tenth album has already gained a great deal of fame.
After consecutive postponements, Kanye West finally releases his new album "Donda".
The album is named after Kanye West's late mother, Donda West, who died in 2007 at the age of 58.
The 22 Grammy-winning rapper and music producer first announced "Donda" in July 2020, but confirmed the release of the album a year later, in July 2021, before a series of consecutive postponements lasting a total of five weeks.
The latter was quite turbulent for Kanye West, however he is determined to turn the discussion back to music. The mass attendance at the three "Donda" auditions, which took place in Atlanta and Chicago, proves it.
"Donda" contains productions with influences from gospel music, which combine the vintage sound of Kanye West with a more modern touch.
The album also features a variety of music stars.
During the three auditions, it was revealed that "Donda" features artists such as The Weeknd and Lil Baby ("Hurricane"), Travis Scott and Baby Keem ("Praise God"), Young Thug, the late Pop Smoke ("Tell The Vision"), Jay Electronica and Lox ("Jesus Lord"), Kid Cudi ("Moon"), Pusha T, Roddy Ricch, Ariana Grande ("Donda") and many more others.

One of the most talked about songs of "Donda" is already "Jail", which includes the name of Marilyn Manson.
At the album's first audition on July 23, it was revealed that Kanye West was collaborating on "Jail" with JAY-Z, five years after their last record meeting. However, at the third audition on August 26, JAY-Z's participation was replaced by a DaBaby couplet, with the audience expressing frustration with the change.
In the "Donda" version that is currently published on digital platforms, Kanye West restores JAY-Z's participation in "Jail". DaBaby eventually appears in a different version of the song, entitled "Jail Pt. 2 ", which is included in the album tracklist, but is not available for streaming.
Kanye West claimed in an Instagram post, which he later deleted, that DaBaby's manager did not approve the release of the song, causing the "Donda" release to be delayed.
"Donda" succeeds Kanye West on the 2019 album "Jesus Is King", which won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Album and made history by debuting at No. 1 of the charts for Rap Albums, Gospel Albums and the Billboard 200.
In this way Kanye West surpassed the Beatles and once again tied Eminem on the list of artists who have made the most consecutive (9) debuts at No. 1 of the Billboard 200.
"Donda", released by G.O.O.D. Music / Def Jam Recordings / Universal Music, gives Kanye West the opportunity to expand the record and stay first in the relevant ranking.
