Jonas Blue collaborates with AWA on "Something Stupid"

Jonas Blue starts in 2021 with new designs and releases the undisputed house banger "Something Stupid".

The multi-platinum DJ and music producer returns to their dance roots and continues his collaborations with emerging talents. This time he joins forces with the R&B singer AWA.

"Something Stupid" is an energetic song that culminates in an electrifying chorus, using at the same time samples from Robin S 's legendary hit "Show Me Love" from the 1990s.

The fascinating lyrics of AWA capture the stress and excitement of the early stages of a love affair, emotions that are sweetly intertwined with the feeling that you are out of control, while you know you have to take a step back before saying "something stupid".
Jonas Blue states: "2020 was so difficult for all of us and I really wanted to return in 2021 with a little positive energy in my new single".

"The iconic Robin S sample really gave me that feeling in the studio and when AWA came in and gave its incredible voice, it all came together. "I can't wait for everyone to hear it and for 2021 to really start," he added.

AWA says of "Something Stupid": "I was so excited to be on this song when I first heard it. I'm a fan of Jonas' work and I felt it was the right time for a song like this. "

"We can't go out for a long time and 'Something Stupid' makes you want to dance, even if it's in front of the mirror in your bedroom! "I think we have all found ourselves in this position when you get carried away and talk before you think about it."

In quarantine or not, "Something Stupid" does not discount its energy and dynamics. Having a solid foundation in dance music, Jonas Blue's new single is ready to be a worldwide success.
