Argentine detectives have reported the disappearance of Liam Payne's gold Rolex watch.
The late singer was last seen wearing the watch in photos taken on the day he fell from a third-story hotel balcony at the CasaSur Hotel in Buenos Aires on October 16. However, the accessory was missing when authorities investigated after his death.
“We know from analyzed images that Payne was wearing a Rolex on the day he died. It was on his wrist for at least two to three hours before his death,” a detective involved in the case told the Argentine news outlet *La Nación*.
The gold Rolex, estimated to be worth around $45,000 (£33,000), was not found in his hotel room, prompting law enforcement to conduct further searches.
Following a court order, investigators closed off Payne's hotel room to maintain evidence integrity. They then searched the homes of individuals who were with Payne that day, hoping to recover the missing watch. Additional inspections of the hotel room are planned to ensure it wasn’t overlooked.
A judicial source revealed that police also searched the residences of those accused of “abandonment of a person” and “supply and facilitation of narcotics,” including two escorts who were reportedly with Payne that afternoon.
