"Older", perhaps George Michael's most iconic album, originally released on May 13, 1996 in the United Kingdom via Virgin Records, is now being re-released by Sony Music in honor of its huge success, as it remained at No. 1. 1 in the UK for three consecutive weeks and another 35 weeks in the Top 10.
George Michael signed the music, lyrics and production of "Older" and explored new paths in his music, touching on issues of his life, loss, pain and the power of love that helps you overcome everything.
The album released six singles, two of which - "Fastlove" and the wonderful "Jesus To A Child" - reached No. 1 in the United Kingdom, while the other four singles reached No. 3 on the UK chart.
The album was a worldwide success, grossing six times platinum in the United Kingdom and platinum in 22 other countries - something that remains unsurpassed to this day.
"Older" was the third album released by George Michael as a solo artist, an album in which he experimented with different genres to broaden his horizons.

The reissue will be released in a beautiful box set that will be a real treasure for George Michael fans.
The box set will be available in a dual case and will include 5 CDs and 3 LPs, including the album "Older" in a new mastered version of the original tapes, printed on double gram vinyl 180 grams for maximum sound quality with a renewed cover.
It will also contain "Upper" for the first time on vinyl and its two CDs.
In addition, a 48-page book entitled "The Story of Older" will be included, in which Dan Davies writes a brand new article with stories from the creation of the album with the contribution of the people who helped in the final result, enriched with unpublished photos.
Finally, the box set will also include three 12 ″ x 12 art art prints of photos by George Michael.
The reissue of "Older" will be released on July 8, 2022.
