Italian public broadcaster Rai has revealed that the hosts of the 66th Eurovision Song Contest will be Laura Pausini, Alessandro Cattelan and Mika.
The talented trio will present both the semifinals and the grand final to be held in Turin, Italy on May 10, 12 and 14 respectively.
The exciting news was announced during the TV broadcast of the Sanremo music festival in Italy, on Wednesday night, where all three presenters took the stage with the host Amadeus shortly before the live connection with the host city of Eurovision 2022, the Turin.
Laura Pausini is currently perhaps the most recognized Italian artist in the world. In 2021, he won four Latin Grammy Awards, a Grammy Award, a Golden Globe and received a historic Oscar nomination for "Io sì (Seen)", the first song with exclusively Italian lyrics to be nominated for an Oscar.
"I am happy that Eurovision has finally returned to Italy and I have the honor of starring in such an important event, along with my friends Mika and Ale," Laura Pausini told Eurovision.tv.
"Together we want to show Europe and the world our great country. For me, 2022 started with new music and this fantastic event. I want to face Eurovision, a top music event in Europe and one of the most important TV shows in the world, with the same energy that has accompanied me throughout my career. "We are ready and, indeed, we are looking forward!" He added.

Alessandro Cattelan, who completes 20 years of career, is one of the most recognizable faces on Italian television. Creator and presenter of evening shows, entertainment nights and brand new bands, he is perhaps best known for presenting "Total Request Live", "Le Iene" and "The X Factor".
"It is our honor to be invited to present Eurovision 2022, it is one of the most popular and well-known shows in the world and this year its organization in Italy is a great opportunity and a historic event for our country," he commented.
"I have known Laura Pausini and Mika for a long time, we have already worked together and we have always had a great time. "And I am sure that the same will happen this time as well," he said.
The triad is completed by the incredible Mika. From his first single, "Grace Kelly" (2007), until today, the Lebanese-British songwriter has written a career that defies the artistic barriers created by genre, geography or social expectations.
Prior to Eurovision, the diverse pop star will appear at the famous "Coachella" festival and later tour throughout North America, before continuing his concerts throughout Europe and Italy.
Speaking to Eurovision.tv, Mika expressed his enthusiasm for the fact that he was offered to take over the presentation of the Eurovision Song Contest.
"I believe more than ever in the importance of the international community, in our common values. I believe in the union of people, in the breaking down of walls to celebrate our similarities and our differences. We can do this thanks to music, which is the most universal form of expression. "Eurovision is this and much more!" He said.
I have been watching her since I was a child, the whole family gathered for the grand final. Once a year, more than 40 countries share the same emotions, regardless of their history or political situation: music unites them. "It is an exciting honor to be one of the leaders of the ceremony on these fantastic nights," he added.
