Dua Lipa was honored with the European Award of Excellence

The award recognizes the positive representation of European culture through an artist's music.

Dua Lipa, who has already won three Grammy Awards and four BRIT Awards, among dozens of other awards, has now been honored with the European Award of Excellence.

The European Award of Excellence recognizes the positive representation of European culture through an artist's music, as well as the best in the field from the ESNS Exchange programme, formerly known as the European Talent Exchange Programme.

Only artists who are considered important ambassadors of European music and role models for their up-and-coming European colleagues are considered for the award.

ESNS presented the award to Dua Lipa during her keynote interview at the Eurosonic Noorderslag 2023 festival in Groningen, Netherlands this weekend.

The keynote interview, moderated by IQ magazine's Gordon Masson, was attended by hundreds of international music industry representatives.

Dua Lipa spoke with her father Dukagjin about the release of her second album, 'Future Nostalgia', amid the pandemic, the successful world tour she undertook to promote it and the 'Sunny Hill' festival they are organizing together in Pristina, the capital of Kosovo.

'Sunny Hill', which was nominated for an award at the European Festival Awards, hopes to put Kosovo on the cultural map of Europe and raise the necessary funds for the development of the country's arts and culture sector.

In recognition of her efforts, Dua Lipa was named Honorary Ambassador of Kosovo in August 2022.

Dua Lipa first appeared at ESNS in 2016 and returned the following year as winner of the European Border Breakers Awards (EBBA), now called the Music Moves Europe Awards (MMEA).

Also, in 2016, he won the New Artist of the Year award at the European Festival Awards and in 2017, he won the EBBA Public Choice Award, following a public vote.
