"I want to show people that they can talk about sexual abuse," said Demi Lovato.
"Liberating" was for Demi Lovato the moment she spoke publicly about her injuries.
In her new documentary "Dancing With The Devil", the singer confesses that she was sexually assaulted by a drug dealer who supplied her with drugs on the night of the overdose in 2018, but also that she was raped at the age of 15 by a man who he knew and was never punished for their actions.
But now that she has revealed this trauma, Demi Lovato tells "People" that she can "really heal".
"Sometimes people listen to my music since I was a teenager and say 'you were so angry' and I say, 'Yes, and now you can see why I was so angry,'" he says.

"It simply came to our notice then. It is liberating. And it really lets that anger that was inside me dissipate. "I was very angry in advance, but that was the last farewell, I can really heal from it now."
"Now that I've talked about it and now that I know other people have been able to hear my story, I just hope it helps," says Demi Lovato.
"Sexual abuse is something that people think is taboo to talk about and complain about, but I want to show people that they can do it," he said.
