Demi Lovato is ready to release her first album after 2017.
The 28-year-old singer announced that her new album will have the experiential title "Dancing With The Devil: The Art Of Starting Over" and revealed that it will be released by Island Records / Universal Music on April 2nd.
This is a "deeply personal album", produced by Demi Lovato herself and her manager, Scooter Braun.
The title of the album is an ode to Demi Lovato's documentary "Dancing With The Devil" which premieres on YouTube on March 23.
At the same time, the singer released the kaleidoscopic cover of her new album, for which she has been inspired since the 1960s.
According to the pop star herself, the album and the documentary of the four episodes are interconnected.
"If you listen to it piece by piece, if you follow the list of songs, it looks like an unofficial soundtrack of the documentary. "Because it really follows my life for the last two years", Demi Lovato explained, speaking to the fans through the "Clubhouse" application.
"When we finished selecting the songs and somehow recording how they identify with my life story, it made sense to add the most emotional tracks at the beginning and then move on to 'The Art of Start Over,'" he added. It is understood that her new album will be divided into two thematic sections.
Demi Lovato also said that "Dancing With The Devil: The Art Of Starting Over" will feature a mix of different genres of music, from '90s pop and R&B to country.
