Charli XCX started psychotherapy during the pandemic

Charli XCX used the COVID-19 pandemic as an opportunity to start psychotherapy.

The British singer, whose real name is Charlotte Aitchison - revealed in an interview with "Refinery29" that she found the conversation with a professional "very useful" and hopes to remember some of the lessons she took in the new regularity.

"I started psychotherapy at the beginning of the pandemic. "And that was kind of timely and I was very lucky to be able to do it, it was really helpful," he said.

"I definitely thought I should apply a lot of this practice in life when people come back to whatever they are going to go back to, but I already feel like I'm getting away with it," he continued.

"I know many of my friends feel the same way. I made these big plans, thinking about how I would change my behavior and how I would live my life differently. "And I try, but it seems that this will not last," he stressed.

The 29-year-old singer is also the host of the new podcast "Best Song Ever" on BBC Radio 1, in which she welcomes guests such as Mark Ronson, Addison Rae and Christine and the Queens.

"To be honest, I think I're done with authenticity. The podcast came about because I really like talking to people. "And I am in a very happy position in my life, where I am surrounded by so many different people who do so many different things and have different experiences from music," he commented.

"I wanted to create this vibrant online community of people who were constantly creating something together," he explained.

"I think that was one of the things that people, myself included, desperately looking for during quarantine was communication and connection. "And this is part of the podcast: a conversation that connects you to someone."

At the same time, Charli XCX is preparing to open a new chapter in its career with the release of the single "Good Ones" on September 2.

The singer recently appeared to betray the release date of her fifth studio album, which currently has no title. Last week, she posted on her Instagram page the image of a tombstone, which was dated March 18, 2022.
