Britney Spears used fake names to hide from fans

Britney Spears "used fake names" to hide from her fans during the filming of "Crossroads".

The 40-year-old star played Lucy Wagner in the 2002 teen drama film and now director Tamra Davis talks about her shooting experience with the singer during that phase of her career.

"We had to hide a lot. People passed by and honked or thousands of people showed up to see Britney. "When we drove with her in a convertible, it was like being in a parade," he told Variety.

"He also used fake names. "We changed places quite quickly, so I don't think anyone could find us for long."

"We just had to keep moving fast and try to ask the fans not to shout while we were trying to shoot. "But you know, of course, her fans mean a lot to her and we always wanted to be sure that we would show them our love," she explained.

The 60-year-old director admitted that she "really tried to get in touch" with Britney Spears in recent years in the middle of the #FreeBritney movement, which led to the end of her guardianship, but he was unable to speak to her.

"Sometimes the media asked me to talk about her and I always wanted to make sure she would have no problem talking. "So I contacted her to see if I could speak to the press."

"My heart just breaks when I think of the messages they were sending me. I was never allowed to contact her, I received messages from her people saying, "Britney would rather not talk to the press" and "Britney would like you to say nothing about her. She is upset that everyone is talking about her. Please, do not speak, please. "He hopes that all this will disappear," he described.

"Now I realize, oh my God, that her people were trying to keep them all away. "I feel like there were voices that could have helped her."

Tamra Davis is "so happy" that the singer "now has her freedom", but she is "sad that she had to go through it".

"How much human abuse we have caused to a man and especially to a woman. It's like a nightmare and a horror movie. I wish we could be there to help her get out of it faster. "And I hope this never happens to anyone else," said the director.
