Beyoncé's passion for singing remains as strong as ever, even after over three decades in the music industry. The 43-year-old pop icon shared that singing will never feel like a chore to her, describing it as her "refuge." She explained that whenever she feels down, singing lifts her spirits, acting as a therapeutic outlet.
In an interview with GQ magazine, she said, "Singing isn't work for me. It's something I do for myself because I love it deeply. Music is in my soul, and there's something magical about how it resonates within me, the way it vibrates through my being."
She continued, "When I'm at my lowest—feeling sad, overwhelmed, or dealing with sleepless nights—I turn to singing, often finding comfort in the solitude of my own voice."
The 'Crazy In Love' singer emphasized how her voice has always been her faithful companion, giving her strength even in moments of solitude. "Music understands my heart when words fail me. My true solace is found in private spaces like the studio or the car, where I can truly be at peace," she added.
"Singing calms me, steadies my heartbeat, and brings me pure joy. There’s a special kind of magic when I sit at the piano, letting my fingers wander over the keys as the music flows freely. Time and again, singing has been my place of healing," Beyoncé expressed.
She concluded by saying, "Without music, without the act of creating, I’d feel like an empty shell. Making music isn’t just a job for me—it’s my life’s purpose."
Beyoncé also opened up about her self-care routines, mentioning that her self-care Sundays include baths with essential oils, acupuncture, cupping, and reflexology to rejuvenate her spirit.
