Beyoncé wants to make sure her upcoming tour is a safe and friendly work environment.
Beyoncé has reportedly asked members of her staff to undergo "MeToo" background checks ahead of the start of her yet-to-be-announced world tour.
The dancers, band and staff are to undergo background checks before the start of the tour, in an effort by Beyoncé to "make the tour a safe and friendly working environment" and prevent incidents of sexual harassment, according to the newspaper The Sun.
A source also said that Beyoncé will ban alcohol and drugs both in rehearsals and on tour.
“Bey knows the new shows will require intense choreography and precision, so everyone needs to be clean and sober. There won't be any crazy parties during the tour either,” the source claimed.
Beyoncé will also reportedly offer tour staff access to support services and mental health resources.
"He knows people are happier when they know their well-being is being met and he wants to use what he's learned on the job to lead by example," the source added.
Beyoncé's new tour has yet to be announced, but it appears to have been confirmed for October.
The singer auctioned off at the fifth annual Wearable Art Gala "two tickets to the 'Renaissance 2023' tour," along with a backstage tour from her mother, Miss Tina, for $50,000.
The tour is expected to begin in the summer of 2023.
Beyoncé is also reportedly considering being joined at her UK concerts by girl group FLO, who this week won the Rising Star Award at the 2023 BRIT Awards.
The music star is also said to have been impressed by the amazing Nigerian singer-songwriter Tems, who was awarded last year's BMI Impact Award, and British singer-rapper Bree Runway.
