Victoria Beckham: "Posh Spice helped me gain confidence"

Victoria Beckham relied on the personality of Posh Spice to gain confidence when she was a member of the Spice Girls.

The 47-year-old fashion designer believes that the fact that she had an alter ego "helped her quickly" to believe in herself.

"Confidence is definitely an element I gained over time. "When I was younger and first appeared in the limelight, I was actually quite shy and the Posh Spice persona was something I used to boost my inner self," she told W Magazine.

"I really believe that my alter ego made me believe in myself quickly," he continued.

"It taught me to trust my instinct and to embrace my passions. Now that I'm older, I definitely feel more confident. "I try to focus on the good points and be polite to myself," he explained.

Victoria Beckham also revealed that her goal with the fashion and beauty series she has released has always been to make women feel strong inside them and to help them exude confidence.

"That has always been the goal, both in terms of clothes and beauty: I want to make women feel strong, the best version of themselves," she said.

"I want them to feel beautiful, sexy, confident and it is quite exciting for me when I hear women say that I helped them get that feeling," she added.

"We are a very close-knit family. We try to help others as much as we can and we have included children in it from an early age. We expect our children to be kind and polite. "It really reflects the way David and I grew up."
