"TikTok New Year's Eve" will be broadcast live in the early hours of Saturday, January 1, 2022 in Greek time.
As the rapid rise of coronavirus cases worldwide is expected to force many people to celebrate New Year from home, TikTok has designed its own alternative proposal for New Year's fun.

The popular platform is organizing a New Year's party entitled "TikTok New Year's Eve" which will be broadcast live on the app from 4:00 am. until 5:15 a.m. of Saturday, January 1, 2022 in Greek time.

The livestream will feature three artists who left their mark on TikTok this year.

These include Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and songwriter Charlie Puth, one of TikTok's most-seen artists in 2021, and Kali Uchis, whose song "Telepatía" was her top Latin song. TicoTok and Rico Nasty, the dynamic rapper behind trending hits like "Smack A Bitch", who is also a productive creator on TikTok and has 1.8 million followers.

The performances of the three artists will take place on a different floor of the "TikTok Towers", a space that will be designed in the form of apartments, each specially designed to fit the set of each artist.

In addition to appearances by Charlie Puth, Kali Uchis and Rico Nasty, TikTok's New Year's live event will feature appearances by popular platform creators such as the averagefashionblogger host, as well as scarlet_may.1, tracy.oj , cristiandennis, tyshonlawrence and 8illy.

TikTok, which has more than 1 billion users on a monthly basis, has sought to highlight its growing influence on music with various other live broadcasts throughout the year featuring appearances by Justin Bieber and J Balvin, as well as in a series of Headstream interviews with artists such as Demi Lovato and P! nk.

The top artists at TikTok in 2021 based on total video views were Megan Thee Stallion (who took first place for the second consecutive year), Doja Cat, PoppHunna, Olivia Rodrigo, Cardi B, YungManny, Soulja Boy, Drake, Kevin Gates and Coi Leray.
