The Weeknd promises the first "crypto-powered" tour

The Weeknd World Tour will use Web 3.0 technology to provide an enhanced experience for fans.
The Binance cryptocurrency exchange will be the official sponsor of The Weeknd's upcoming "After Hours Til Dawn" tour, as announced.

In a press release, the company called the "After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour" "the first world tour to use Web 3.0 technology for an enhanced fan experience."

Binance is the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world based on trading volume.

A pillar of the collaboration will be an NFT collection focusing on the tour, created in collaboration with HXOUSE, a Toronto-based talent incubator founded by The Weeknd creative director La Mar C. Taylor.

Virtual ticket clips from The Weeknd concerts will also unlock access to souvenir NFTs that offer a variety of experiences. The partnership will also release a series of merchandises for the tour (excluding NFT) under a common name.

The Weeknd - UN Food Program
Another key element of the partnership is the $ 2 million donation from Binance to the XO Humanitarian Fund, launched by The Weeknd in early 2022 to support the United Nations World Food Program's rescue work in parts of the world with extreme levels of hunger.

Five percent of sales from the NFT collection will go to the fund, which is managed by the US World Food Program.

"I'm excited to be working with Binance and BinanceUS on my 'After Hours Til Dawn' tour!" wrote The Weeknd on Twitter.

"We will use innovative Web 3 technology to connect with you in new creative ways and collaborate on charitable efforts to provide food to those in need," he said.

More details about the collaboration will be revealed later.

The Weeknd's "After Hours Til Dawn" world tour will start on July 8 from Toronto, Canada and will continue throughout North America in July and August, ending with two concerts at the "SoFi Stadium" in Los Angeles at 2 p.m. and September 3, before traveling to Europe, South America, Asia, the Middle East, Australia and Africa.
