Taylor Swift's new album broke records less than 24 hours after its release.

Taylor Swift's tenth album, which dropped on Friday, October 21, has officially broken Spotify's record for the most streamed album in a single day, less than 24 hours after its release.
Spotify announced the news on its social media pages, writing: "And before the clock even struck midnight on October 22, Taylor Swift broke the record for the most streamed album in a single day in Spotify history."
During the week, Taylor Swift teamed up with Spotify to promote the album by posting lyrics from its songs on various billboards in cities around the world, including New York, Nashville, Mexico and London.
It's been quite an exciting 24 hours for Taylor Swift, who also released a deluxe '3am Edition' of 'Midnights' with seven bonus tracks and then premiered the music video for the album's single 'Anti-Hero'.
Ahead of the release of 'Midnights', Taylor Swift has teased the rest of the album's music videos, starring HAIM sisters, album producer Jack Antonoff, Laura Dern and Dita Von Teese, among others.
Taylor Swift retweeted Spotify's tweet announcing the 'Midnights' record and wrote: 'How did I get so lucky to have you guys out there doing something so amazing?! What happened just now?!!!?!”.
Although Spotify didn't immediately release official streaming numbers, the feat puts Taylor Swift ahead of Bad Bunny's previous record of 183 million streams on its first day of release, Un Verano Sin Ti. May.
Previously, the record was held by Drake and his 'Certified Lover Boy' album, which had 176.8 million streams in the first 24 hours of its release in September 2021.
Meanwhile, some Twitter users said that Spotify briefly crashed soon after the release of 'Midnights' as Taylor Swift fans from around the world rushed to the app to listen to the album.
"Midnights" also broke the Apple Music record for the most streamed pop album in 24 hours.
The 'Midnights' album features 13 songs in its standard version, including 'Anti-Hero', 'Snow On The Beach' featuring Lana Del Rey, 'Karma' and 'Vigilante Shit'.
