Shawn Mendes joins forces with the fashion house Tommy Hilfiger and announces their collaboration that will have as its central theme "Play It Forward".

Aiming to promote sustainability through their multi-year partnership, Shawn Mendes will also be the face of the campaign for the company's new "Classics Reborn" collection for the summer of 2022.

 
The "Classics Reborn" collection, which will be available in US stores from May 16, will include looks from Hilfiger's "1985 Program", an earlier collection that took its name from the brand's founding year. The collection will consist of polo shirts made of organic cotton and sustainable denim, made from recycled cotton with less use of water during production.

In addition, Tommy Hilfiger will support Shawn Mendes on the upcoming world tour of "Wonder: The World Tour", designing sustainable costumes for his appearances on stage.

Shawn Mendes said in a video posted on Tommy Hilfiger's Instagram account: "We both care so much about our planet and that's why our main goal is to redefine the way we wear and make our clothes. . To offset the environmental impact of Shawn Mendes's tour, the company also donated $ 1 million. Recipients of the donation will be announced in the coming weeks.

In the spring of 2023, Tommy Hilfiger will also release a new capsule collection, designed by Shawn Mendes and featuring the use of recycled and sustainable materials.
