Lady Gaga: 'Just Dance' Is Now Diamond

"Just Dance" is Lady Gaga's third song to go diamond.

Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" single became diamond in the US.

'Just Dance' was released on 8 April 2008 and was the first single from Lady Gaga's debut album 'The Fame', which followed in August of that year.

"Just Dance," featuring Colby O'Donis, peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the winter of 2009 and spent three weeks at the top of the chart.

It was the first of Lady Gaga's five No. 1 hits on the Hot 100, before 'Poker Face', 'Born This Way', 'Shallow' with Bradley Cooper and "Rain On Me" featuring Ariana Grande.

"Just Dance" also climbed to No. 1 in the UK and reached number one in the Top 40 at US radio.

At the same time, "The Fame" holds the record for the album with the longest stay at No. 1 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Albums Chart, spending 175 non-consecutive weeks at the top.

'Just Dance' is the third single to go diamond in the US, following 'Poker Face' (from 'The Fame') and 'Bad Romance' (from 'The Fame Monster' EP).

Lady Gaga was the first female artist to achieve a No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with six consecutive albums over ten years (2011-2020).

Lady Gaga's story and influence continues to grow.

The song 'Bloody Mary' from her album 'Born This Way' made its first appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 in more than a decade after its release, and just this week, 'Bloody Mary' entered the Pop Top 10 Billboard Airplay Chart.

To celebrate 15 years of her incredible career and the song that started it all, Lady Gaga has re-released a range of limited edition merchandise from each of her previous albums, including 2009's 'The Fame Monster', 'Born 2011's This Way, 2013's Artpop, 2016's Joanne, and 2020's Chromatica.

She also released selected tracks for the joint album 'Love For Sale' (2021) with Tony Bennett and her participation in the soundtrack of the film 'Top Gun: Maverick'.
