Katy Perry is dishing out her thoughts on her next album, but admits nothing is certain - especially when it comes to its sound.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Katy Perry talked about her next album after 2020's 'Smile' and what she's been focusing on since releasing her latest record.
“I released 'Smile' during the pandemic a few years ago and I've done a few other things. I really enjoyed releasing “When I'm Gone” with Alesso. But I put all my energy into Las Vegas,” she said of her appearances in the city.
Katy Parry has thought out every detail of her 'Play' show in Las Vegas, especially when it comes to the many outfit changes.
“I know the main priority of being a female pop star! One of those priorities is to appear in many looks," said the singer.
“When you go to see a show like this, you want to see those changes. I kept in mind that for the Super Bowl, people want to see the different outfits. It's a magic trick when you can change so quickly. I change in a minute and a half backstage. It's just fun," he explained.
"Every little detail has been thought out because I had the opportunity to develop this show during the pandemic and there was a lot of time to do that," he added.
Preparation is Katy Perry's big secret to her successful performances in the city of Las Vegas.
“I really believe in good preparation in everything I do. I believe that preparation creates precision. You only get one chance to start performing in Las Vegas in your life," he emphasized.
“I definitely wanted to make sure that I did everything in my power to make sure that it was a fantastic blockbuster that was successful and had heart and humor and joy and was a celebration of all the songs that I've been able to release. in the past, which is usually different when I go on tour,” he continued.
Referring to the tours, Katy Perry said that she is looking forward to traveling the world again and meeting her fans who cannot attend her in Las Vegas.
“I miss my fans all over the world and I really want to go to them and see them and just travel the world again. "Some of them can't come to see me in Las Vegas, so I'm going to see them myself," he said.
"I'm just excited for the future because there's so much more to come," she noted, adding that she plans to return with new music when she embarks on her next world tour.
For now, Katy Perry the warm atmosphere of her performances in Las Vegas.
"I like it because it's a warm theater. When I do big tours, I play stadiums with tens of thousands of people, which is fantastic and there's an incredible energy. But in this theater, it's 5,000 people in Las Vegas," he said.
“Everything is very close and everyone feels like they have the best seat in the room because they can literally smell me. I love that about this experience,” Katy Perry said.
