Katy Perry shares her new songs with her daughter first

Katy Perry's 2.5-year-old daughter always gets the first taste of the singer's new music.

Katy Perry makes sure to share her new songs with her daughter Daisy Dove first and get her opinion polled.

Katy Perry's last album was 'Smile', which was released three years ago, and while the singer isn't ready to return with new music just yet, "the creativity and ideas have never stopped."

"When I do release music in a big way, then I want to go around the world and do a big world tour and stuff like that," Katy Perry said in an interview with People.

"I'm excited for the next period of music, and I think this music obviously comes from a period of real love," she added.

Fans will have to wait to hear the new songs, but for now, Katy Perry's 2.5-year-old daughter with fiance Orlando Bloom is enjoying the first taste.

“Daisy always has the first taste. Whatever music I write, I let her listen to it and see how much she likes it," he said.

After Katy Perry revealed in March that she and Orlando Bloom had agreed to abstain from alcohol for three months, she explained to People what motivated the decision.

"For me, it was an opportunity to make a comeback. It was a very good opportunity to let my body recover a bit. I had a very good relationship with finding balance," said the singer.

Katy Perry noted that she "doesn't drink much" on weeknights, "but on the weekend she bends a little." However, she agreed to abstain from alcohol as an act of solidarity with Orlando Bloom.

"We did this because he's shooting a film in London at the moment which is taking all his concentration and so I wanted this opportunity to support him," she said.

“It's very difficult to do anything, whether it's a cleanse or a reset, if your partner isn't doing it. So the fact that we're doing it together makes it a lot easier,” he continued.

While Katy Perry "doesn't really identify with any label when it comes to sobriety," she commented, "I like to have the reset moments, especially at 38 to balance the intensity of my career and the fact that I have a young child who he loves to run."
