Jennifer Lopez has expressed her excitement to return to the stage after canceling her most recent tour. In June, the pop icon announced the cancellation of all 30 dates for her *This Is Me... Live* North American tour. However, in an interview with Nikki Glaser for *Interview* magazine's fall 2024 issue, published on Wednesday, Jennifer assured fans that she plans to perform again soon.
"I can't wait to get back out there. I have the most understanding and loving fans in the world. Some fan bases can be spicy. Mine are just a bunch of lovers," she said with a smile. "I was devastated to let anyone down, but I needed time with my kids and myself to really work through some things in my life. I'm glad I did because it was an incredibly difficult time for me—probably the hardest—but it was also the best because I got to focus on myself."
Jennifer has faced personal challenges recently, including filing for divorce from husband Ben Affleck in August. The couple rekindled their romance in 2021 and married the following year.
Despite the challenges, Jennifer revealed she has exciting new projects in the works. "I appreciate everyone’s understanding, and I’ll be back out there entertaining you and shaking my a** sooner than you know," the 55-year-old added.
During the conversation, Jennifer also reflected on the risks she's taken throughout her career. She specifically recalled being advised against becoming a judge on *American Idol* in 2011.
"I'll take risks because I believe they'll turn out okay," she explained. "All my advisors said, 'Don't do this, you'll be reduced to just a reality star.' It was looked down upon. 'If you do that, no one will hire you for movies again.' But I felt differently. I love music, I love mentoring, and I knew I had something to contribute."
