When it was pointed out that the song "As It Was" from the album sounds superficially like a happy song, but in fact its lyrics are very sad, Harry Styles commented: "This is the fascination of music for me."

"I think you can write what at the moment you may feel is one of your most destructive emotions, if you prefer. "It's not just catastrophic."

"I think there are both sides, but obviously seeing people dancing to this song is something. It's fun to explore what music can make you feel. And then, obviously if there are layers in it, you explore it in a way as you live with the music for a longer period of time, "he explained.

Harry Styles added about "As It Was": "It has a lot to do with the transformation of life. And I think it has to do with your development as an individual, your physical evolution and losing yourself, finding him. "

"There are many times in life when different people want us to be different things and stay the same. "And I think in fact, even if you wanted to, you could not go back to the person you were before."

The light songs of "Harry's House" give the impression that Harry Styles had less pressure during the creation of the new album.

"There is a level of comfort that comes from being okay with what you have made and really remembering what you have made is what matters," he said.

"If I were to measure my overall happiness or my self-esteem or the love of my friends and the people around me based on the commercial success of this album, then I think I would be in a very different place. I do not feel that I necessarily measure any of these things based on that. So it's just really relaxing to play music like that. "

"I feel that this album is much more representative of me in my life. I think creating an album requires an incredible amount of thought for yourself. "But sometimes there are things that affect me and I felt it was more important to write about them."
