Eurovision 2021: In which country did the final viewership record 99.9%

Eurovision is popular among young people based on ratings.
This year's Eurovision Song Contest, the largest live music show in the world, according to its organizers, attracted 183 million viewers, with young people casting a "vote of confidence" on the night of the final.

The percentage of viewers in the 36 countries where the final on Saturday 22 May was shown by Rotterdam, in which the Italian band Måneskin won, amounted to 40.5%, ie 4% more compared to the 2019 competition, said in a press release the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which organizes the event.

Among young people aged 15-24, the viewing rate increased by 7% and reached 52.8%.

The Eurovision Song Contest channel on YouTube recorded 50.6 million unique viewers from 234 countries on the night of the final, of which 71% were aged 18-34.

"The huge success of Måneskin and so many other songs this year shows that the impact of the Eurovision Song Contest is stronger than ever, even in its 65th year," said Martin Österdahl, the event's executive director.

In Italy the final recorded the highest viewership rate since 2011, while in the Netherlands the viewership amounted to 78.5%.

However, this percentage seems very small compared to that of Iceland, which once again proved in practice its love for this spectacle with a viewing rate of 99.9%, according to APE-MPE.

The final for the Eurovision Song Contest in Greece also recorded high ratings, recording 55.2% of the potential audience (Adults 18-54) and 49.4% of the total.
