Ed Sheeran can't watch his new documentary

"I didn't realize we were making a documentary about grief and mental health."

Ed Sheeran has revealed he has absolutely no intention of watching his new documentary 'The Sum Of It All' as just the thought of watching it makes him feel 'uncomfortable'.

The 32-year-old singer explained how he felt about his documentary in a new interview, admitting he's not comfortable with the idea of sitting down to watch one of its episodes himself.

"It's uncomfortable for me to watch, I haven't sat down to watch it," he said while speaking to Extra.

"I hope other people find it more fun than I did," he added.

Afterwards, Ed Sheeran explained that he was surprised by the style of the documentary and emphasized that he did not expect it to focus so much on his psychology and emotional state.

"I actually didn't realize they were making a documentary about grief and mental health, I thought we were making a documentary about my album," she said.

"And then I saw the result and I was like, 'Oh, okay. Nice", added the British singer.

'The Sum Of It All', which consists of four episodes and is available on Disney+, offers a glimpse into Ed Sheeran's life during the making of his new album '-' (Subtract).

The documentary also brings to light the good and the hard times that Ed Sheeran experienced during that time, such as his battle with grief and depression.

The first episode of 'The Sum Of It All' focuses on Ed Sheeran's relationship with his wife Cherry Seaborn, who was diagnosed with cancer while pregnant with their second child in February 2022.

The day after learning that Cherry Seaborn's tumor was not as severe as first thought, Ed Sheeran's good friend Jamal Edwards died.

Ed Sheeran's 'Subtract' was released on May 5 and is already the fastest selling album of 2023 in the UK market.
