Cher has announced that she is launching her own ice cream aptly named 'Cherlato'.
The 77-year-old singer posted a video on social media of a brightly colored ice cream truck emblazoned with the word "Cherlato" emblazoned with black and white photos of Cher eating an ice cream cone.
At the same time, Cher's timeless hit "Believe" was playing in the background.
While the news may come as a surprise to her fans, Cher noted on social media that the venture has been in the works for five years, adding that now all the details are finally in place for the ice cream launch.
“Yes, it's true… I'm launching my own ice cream… Watch out Los Angeles! It all started five years ago and now it's finally happening. More to come…” Cher captioned her post.
Cher fans couldn't contain their excitement for the singer's new venture, flooding the comments section with ice cream flavor suggestions, with many making puns on some of her biggest hits.
Cher first announced the move in January when she tweeted that she was going to meet with a top ice cream maker.
"I have a meeting about my ice cream. It's a collaboration with the greatest ice cream wizard in the world," he said at the time.
No official date has been announced for the ice cream launch at this time, but it appears the van has been quietly rolling out in Los Angeles.
"Yesterday I tried a chocolate ball in a cone with a 'gold' cover from the truck parked on Sunset Boulevard," wrote one fan.
"It was a wonderful treat! I was happy to be one of the first to try the delicacy. I wish you and Giapo Kitchen every success,” another Twitter user added.
As it turns out, behind 'Cherlato' is Giapo Kitchen, an ice cream and gelato purveyor based in New Zealand.
"Cherlato" isn't Cher's only business venture. In addition to being a highly successful singer and actress, she is the face of several beauty companies and has launched her own fashion collections and fragrance lines.
Earlier this month, Cher also announced that her classic album 'It's A Man's World' from 1995 was being re-released in a special deluxe limited edition vinyl box set.
