On Thursday (June 9), Britney Spears and Sam Asghari got married in the presence of some of the singer's closest famous friends, including Selena Gomez and Madonna and her wedding dress designer: Donatella Versace.

"God and Lord! We did it! We got married! It was the most impressive day! " Britney Spears wrote on Instagram, revealing that she was "anxious all morning" before the ceremony.

 
He also added that he had a brief "panic attack". Earlier in the day, Jason Alexander's ex-husband broke into her home with a paper cutter in an attempt to "break up" the marriage.

"The ceremony was a dream and the party was even better! "So many incredible people came to our wedding and I'm still shocked," she said of her wedding at "Dream Castle" where Britney Spears and Sam Asghari entered the venue in a horse-drawn carriage.

Britney Spears then thanked those in attendance: Drew Barrymore (the "girl in love"), Selena Gomez (who is "much more beautiful up close"), Madonna (whom he kissed on the mouth at the party, representing their famous appearance at the MTV VMAs 2003) and Paris Hilton.

Britney Spears also posted photos of the ceremony venue, which was decorated with pink roses and features glittering chandeliers.

Sisters Charlotte and Sofia Tilbury, who were in charge of makeup and jewelry, also described to Rolling Stone how they felt helping the singer prepare for the big day.

"I was so excited and honored to be asked to design Britney's wedding beauty look. "Britney is the queen of pop and an idol of our time who inspired and empowered us all with her joy and positive energy," said Charlotte.

Earlier in the day, chaos broke out when her first husband, Jason Alexander, broke into her home to try to prevent the marriage. He was arrested and restrictive measures were issued against him.

"We look forward to working with law enforcement to ensure that Alexander is prosecuted aggressively and I hope he is convicted," Spears's lawyer Mathew Rosengart, who was also present at the wedding, told Rolling Stone.

"This was an outrageous breach of security, for which I am outraged, but fortunately Britney is safe and she was an amazing and happy bride," she continued.

Britney Spears and Sam Asghari met on the set of the music video for "Slumber Party" in 2016 and they started coming out five months later. They were engaged in September 2021, just two months before the singer was released from the court custody that controlled and limited her life for 13 years.
