Billie Eilish is "very anxious and very excited" to be at this year's Oscars.

The 20-year-old singer and her brother Finneas are nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song for the song of the same name in the movie "No Time To Die" by James Bond, which is a favorite to win.

Billie Eilish is looking forward to appearing on the red carpet at the Oscars in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 27th.

"Oh, yes, we will be there, for sure. "We are very anxious and very excited," he told The Times' Saturday Review.

Billie Eilish and Finneas had no "hesitation" when they were first asked to compose a song for the new James Bond film, but imposed many "rules" on themselves when writing "No Time To Die".

"When we were asked to do the song there was no hesitation, as it was one of the things we really wanted to do," the pop star said.

You often have reservations about things you are asked to do, but that was one of the only things we were asked to do and we said 100%, 'Yes, we want to do it.' "There was not a single hesitation, neither in mine nor in Finneas' head at that moment," he continued.

"We had a lot of rules for the song in mind and a long list of things we wanted to achieve," he said.

"It had to have a strong melody, and we wanted to put the title of the film in the chorus. He had to have a great moment, he had to have momentum, and he had to look a lot like Bond, but at the same time he looked like me. "And he could not get away from either," he explained.

However, Billie Eilish and Finneas did not get into the process of listening to songs from previous James Bond films because they did not want to "accidentally copy" a pre-existing song.

"We felt a huge sense of responsibility. We put ourselves under a lot of pressure because we wanted to. Nobody pressured us. We showed respect ", the young singer noted.

"We love Bond and we are big fans of the franchise and we wanted to justify him. We did not want to create a cheap song that is not James Bond. It's a difficult thing to do when writing a song about Bond, because when a good melody comes to you, your first instinctive thought is, "It already exists." "We had to make sure there was no such thing in the past."

"We did not go to listen to all the soundtracks, we did not want to accidentally copy something," he said.

If you're looking for inspiration, all you have to do is think, 'Oh, that's nice, let's do it again.' And we did not want to do that. What we wanted to do was make an ode to the movies. "We already knew how the other songs sounded and we already knew what we wanted," said Billie Eilish.
