Bebe Rexha Didn't Remember Recording 'I'm Good (Blue)' With David Guetta

David Guetta and Bebe Rexha first recorded a song four years ago.

David Guetta and Bebe Rexha's 'I'm Good (Blue)' is one of the most popular songs in the world right now, but the singer didn't remember recording the remake of their hit 'Blue (Da Ba Dee)' Eiffel 65 since 1998.

"We wrote the song four years ago, and David finally played it at a festival a week later, just to try it out for fun," Bebe Rexha told ABC Audio.

"We didn't think about it at all. And someone posted the video on YouTube. Someone took it from YouTube, put it on TikTok, remixed it and then uploaded another TikTok with it, I didn't even remember recording the song!” he continued.

When Bebe Rexha accidentally saw the song on TikTok, she didn't recognize herself.

"I said, 'Oh, shit! We had the idea to remix this song. I wish we had gone ahead with it!". And someone from my team said to me, “No, Bebe. This is you,'" he explained.

"People asked for it every day. And they said: "Where is the song? How come we can't find it?" And we just wanted to upload something to the streaming platforms," he recalled.

But since there was no professional recording available, Bebe Rexha had to rework "I'm Good (Blue)".

“I remember going into the studio and having about four to five hours to come up with what the song was going to be. I had to rewrite all the vocals and then restructure the song and then write a new part,” he said.

Soon, David Guetta and Bebe Rexha performed 'I'm Good (Blue)' in front of a huge audience at the French DJ and music producer's shows in Ibiza.

“When I was on stage in Ibiza and I saw everyone singing the lyrics, it was kind of a shock. I was thinking, "Wow, how did that happen?" It's amazing!” commented Bebe Rexha.
