Ariana Grande doesn't forget Manchester.
Ariana Grande donated dozens of gifts to children's hospitals in Manchester this Christmas.
The 29-year-old singer has been emotionally attached to the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital charity since her concert in the city in 2017 was the target of a horrific terrorist attack that left 22 dead and more than 500 injured.
The hospital charity posted pictures on its Instagram account of various colorfully wrapped presents under a Christmas tree and thanked the pop star for her generous gesture.
The gifts were given to babies, children and teenagers treated in the pediatric wards at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, Trafford Hospitals, Wythenshawe Hospital and North Manchester General Hospital in the Manchester area.
The interim director of the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital charity, Tanya Hamid, has expressed her gratitude to Ariana Grande.
“It's so wonderful that Ariana has once again been so gracious and made this special donation to our family of hospitals. We know that Manchester, and in particular the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, holds a special place in Ariana's heart," he said, according to the foundation's post.
Ariana Grande has maintained a very close relationship with Manchester since the time of the bombing.
According to the Manchester Evening News, last year Ariana Grande donated over 1,000 gifts to children in Manchester hospitals during Christmas.
In 2020, the American singer gave away a £100 Amazon voucher to every young patient at Manchester Royal Children's Hospital and Manchester Royal Infirmary.
In June 2017, just days after the terror attack, the pop star hosted the star-studded 'One Love Manchester' charity concert, which raised more than $17 million for the families of the victims of the attack.
Proceeds went to the 'We Love Manchester' Emergency Fund set up by Manchester City Council and the British Red Cross.
