Alicia Keys is grateful to have been lucky enough to work with Whitney Houston.
Alicia Keys discusses her collaboration with the incredible Whitney Houston on her latest album, 2009's 'I Look To You'.
"Oh, she's so great," Alicia Keys said of the late singer recently speaking to ET Canada.
“She, Prince. I mean, there's been a lot of people, man," he added of the legendary singers he was lucky enough to work with before they passed away. "I'm so grateful," she noted.
Alicia Keys co-wrote Whitney Houston's 'I Look To You' album opener 'Million Dollar Bill' and co-produced it with her now-husband Swizz Beatz.
A tribute to Whitney Houston, who died aged just 48 10 years ago, in February 2012, will be paid by the upcoming biopic 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody', which will be released in Greek cinemas on 29 December.
When asked if she plans to watch the new film, which stars Naomi Ackie as Whitney Houston, Alicia Keys replied: “Of course I will. I love her".
The 41-year-old singer also hopes the film will portray Whitney Houston "as she really was".
"I'm sure that's what they did. So I'm excited to watch it," she said of "I Wanna Dance With Somebody," produced by legendary record executive Clive Davis.
Alicia Keys even admitted that she would like to make a movie about her own life one day.
"Obviously to be done in a beautiful way," she stressed, adding that she would like to be "really creative." "I think that would be pretty cool," he commented.
As for who could play Alicia Keys, the singer revealed that fellow musician HER is "the first person that comes to mind."
“Just because, you know, we're both playing. There are some similar elements in the background. I think we understand each other a lot," he explained.
“She's a dear friend of mine and I think she's incredibly incredible. So something like that could work," Alicia Keys said.
