BTS's Charlie Puth and Jungkook have announced that they will be working on a new single entitled "Left And Right".
On Friday (June 17th), the American singer-songwriter posted a video on TikTok where he and the BTS member spoke via video call, with Charlie Puth directing the K-pop idol to record the new song.
"Dude, what does it sound like when you sing 'Memories follow me left and right,'" Puth asks, with Jungkook singing the excerpt.
Soon after, Charlie Puth asks Jungkook to stand to the left of the microphone and sing "I can be over here" and then sing the same phrase from the right.
At the end of the video, a short teaser from "Left And Right" is revealed, with Charlie Puth claiming that the song "will be crazy".
In the caption of his post on TikTok, Charlie Puth wrote that if "Left and Right" gathers 500,000 pre-saves, it will be released on June 24.
Charlie Puth had announced the collaboration during an interview on the sidelines of his iHeart Radio "Wango Tango" concert on June 5.
When told that fans were looking forward to a collaboration with BTS, Charlie Puth commented: "I heard that too, and no one on my team knows when it will be released."
"We honestly do not know the date it will be released. "We know, but it's as if we just realized it," he added.
"Left and Right" is expected to be the third single from Charlie Puth's upcoming new album, to be followed by "That Hilarious" and "Light Switch", which have been released in recent months.
Earlier this week, BTS announced during a live broadcast celebrating their ninth anniversary as a band that they would be taking an extended break to take time out on a solo project.
