Elton John has announced pop-up stores across Europe to mark the launch of his new eyewear line.
The legendary pop singer is bringing the curtain down on his 'Farewell Yellow Brick Road' farewell tour this summer with the final leg of it, which includes a string of UK gigs and a headlining appearance at this year's Glastonbury festival.
Elton John is also launching his own line of glasses on the global market, having helped design 75 different models, many of which are named after his songs.
“Self-expression is at the core of everything I do. I've learned a long time ago that my style is what gives me confidence and I just don't feel like myself without my glasses," said Elton John.
"Creating a stylish eyewear collection has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember, so I'm very excited to announce the global launch of Elton John Eyewear," he added.
"I've condensed defining moments of my rock 'n' roll career into designs that bring joy and allow you to make a statement without saying a word," he continued.
“This collection is about every person being their authentic self in a world that constantly pressures you to be someone else. I designed this series to have something for everyone: whoever you are, you can always show yourself,” she explained.
Elton John has teamed up with luxury shopping destination The Bicester Collection to stock his eyewear line, as well as clothing and other products in pop-up stores across Europe.
The line is also available online through EltonJohnEyewear.com.
10% of the proceeds from the sales of the glasses made through the Bicester Collection will go to the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
“Elton John Eyewear is not just about looking great. It's about seeing the future clearly," explained Elton John.
"The designs are inspired by over 50 years of my style and sales from the frames will benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation," he added.
"This means we can do even more good together, reaching more people in local communities and really focusing on ending the epidemic by 2030. That's a powerful vision," added Elton John.
